| The new Polo BlueMotion is a fuel saving miracle. The sale starts in 2010 but a German car magazine already drove the Polo. The smaller brother from the Golf is also a car from the VW family which promise fun while driving. The new 1.2-liter-three-cylinder-TDI engine used only 3.3 liter per 100km that's 71.3 mpg in the test drive. | | To develop a fuel efficient car, the mechanics and engineers from VW have to be creative and forward thinking. The fuel efficient tires, a wider gear ratio, new measures regarding the aerodynamic, using the brake energy, and a start-stop-system are just some of the wide range of technical innovations in the new BlueMotion. Also optical tuning helps to save fuel, like the roof spoiler and side skirts, which reduce the drag coefficient. The front of the Polo is more smoothly than a regular one. The grill and the little front spoiler lip become also an other shape. | | Inside the new BlueMotion it's nearly the same like the regular Polo, only the seat covers are a little bit different. The slogan "Power On" is printed on the fabric. The 75hp are very good proportioned for a 1080 kg / 2380 lbs light car which is made to be a saver.
