Now VW is bringing the race to the people. The new Jetta TDI Cup "Street" editions was shown at this year SEMA at Las Vegas Convention Center. The car has many similarities to the original race car and will be available 2010. The "Street" edition features the side skirts, front bumper and the rear valance like the TDI Cup cars.

The color of the TDI "Street" edition will be the same like the GLI and features branded door sill inserts and "TDI Cup Edition" applique for the vehicel side. Inside you find sport seats and a three-spoke steering wheel with the Cup logo. The TDI Cup Street edition has a 2.0L clean-diesel engine and produces 140 hp and 236 lbs. ft. of torque. The six-speed DSG transmission has Tiptronic and offers a Sport mode. The Street edition rides on Yokohama Advan sport tires and 18-inch multi-spoke wheels.
This car may be on sale approx. 2010 and starts under $ 30,000 USD.
